G3 – 1703m – Turf
1 |
Lottie Marie |
Showed some promise on turf last year but best known for her exploits on all-weather surfaces, latterly leading throughout in a 2000m Lingfield handicap. A likeable filly but this looks difficult. |
2 |
Maamora |
Gained the latest of her four wins when leading throughout in a 1600m G3 at Sandown last August. Couldn’t manage to repeat that front-running trick on her 2021 return at Goodwood but it was still a decent effort. |

Parent’s Prayer |
Slow away before outgalloping 13 rivals to win a Listed contest at Naas last October, looking to enjoy the soft ground. Two good G3 runs this year suggest that another victory may be close. |

Not at her best for her seasonal return, never threatening in a weak Newmarket G2. Can be difficult at the gates but showed her ability when easily winning a Listed contest at Sandown last September. |
5 |
Queen Kahlua |
Had quite decent winning form when trained in France, doing best on slow ground and over shorter distances than this. Quite a promising UK debut, though only over 1216m, last month. |

Tomorrow’s |
Twice a winner last year, latterly in a 1600m fillies’ handicap at Goodwood. Prominent until fading late on her 2021 return in Listed company on the Kempton all-weather in April. |
7 |
Illykato |
Slowly away and then had a poor trip on her three-year-old return. Again slow away but she responded gamely to pressure to win a 1600m Listed event on quick ground at Goodwood last month. |
8 |
Nazuna |
Responded well to jockey pressure when runner-up in a 1400m G2 at Newmarket last September, the best effort of her two-year-old career. Her pedigree suggests that this longer trip is not a problem. |

Statement |
From a stable that has won this race before. Only just failed to land a shock G3 win at Newbury in April, then just running a respectable eighth in a G1 Newmarket Classic. Chance if she handles this track. |

Hasn’t done particularly well in any of her four starts this year, though travelled smoothly in a 1600m soft-ground Ascot handicap two starts back only to weaken quickly in the closing stages. |
