1200m – Dirt

Aoi Tsuyahime Lord Kanaloa mare returned after year off to win by 4L over Chukyo 1400m early this month. Moving up in class. First time at 1200m. Leads or presses pace. Less distance a plus but will carry 9lbs more than last race.
Aurora Tesoro Finished third in first start at this level mid May over Tokyo 1400m. Good early speed but often slow away. Prefers to lead. Promising with right trip.
Boop Boop Bee Doop Last out mid June, mare finished 5th, her best from last 6 starts at this level. Likely not competitive.
Copano Mercury Ritto-based colt came back lean and mean to finish third last out over Tokyo 1400m on 6 June in first start since moving stables. Going was heavy. Good speed.
Fascinate Z Started year off with 2nd in Chukyo 1400m but has posted 14-4-11 since. First time at 1200m and has won over Hanshin 1400m but likely not competitive in this field.
Kosoku Speed Colt has moved from turf to dirt, with best results over 1200m-1400m. Second start at this level, first start in 5 months. Good speed, versatile. Has done well returning from layoff, but training has been light. First time at Hanshin. Five of nine starts in money, all but two on board. Worth a wager.
Kurino San Leo 8-year-old has best a 7th from last 8 starts, all at this level over 1200m-1400m. Not a contender.
Meiner Luck 8-year-old has only made the board twice in last 12 starts, all at this level. Not a contender.
Meisho Mizukaze 7-year-old has at best a 10th-place finish in last 6 starts since end of 2019. Lacks speed. Not a contender.
Meisho Rabier 6-year-old mare has done poorly since moving to this level, with best a fifth in 6 starts, a mix of distances over both dirt and turf. Has shown good speed but has had bad luck with poor going and outside draws. Track work ample. Could surprise with right trip.
Night Breeze Miho-based filly rose quickly to this level with three straight wins, finished third last out. 4 months since last start but looking good in track work. First time at Hanshin. Ample chance.
Onushi Nanimono Colt raced primarily over 1200m-1400m is primed with 3rd over distance last out on 15 May and improvement expected. Has 4-9-5 from 3 starts at Hanshin a year ago, but has added muscle since. Excellent speed. Proven over all going.
Pier Chic Consistent 5-year-old has nine finishes in the money and only missed board 4 times in 18 career starts. In top three in all but one of 5 starts this year and just missed winner’s circle in last two starts at this level. Has won over Hanshin 1200m. Races from far off pace. Promising.
R Rosso Mare has only one finish on board in last 5 starts at this level. Third start in just over a month. Lacks speed. Not promising.
Saimon Harold Hideyuki Mori-trained colt is 14-10 from 2 starts at this level. Stumbled at break last out and lugged in final turn, struggled in stretch. First race in 3 months. Has shown excellent early speed earlier this year but recent track work has been lackluster.
Solar Flare Last out over Hanshin 1400m early April finished in money for first time in 6 starts at this level. All other starts off board. Being given 1200m for first time. Tends to race midfield. Not promising.
