To usher in the new season at Sha Tin Racecourse this Sunday (6 September), a mega prize totalling $50 million is up for grabs.

For the season’s opening day this Sunday, a total of $30 million in prize money will be on offer. The Triple Trio will be topped up with $17 million, with an estimated payout of $25 million should there be only one single $10 winning unit. The Quartet & First 4 Merged Pool will be topped up with a total jackpot of $5 million, which will be allocated to Races 6 to 10 with each race carrying a jackpot of $1 million.

For the season’s first night meeting at Happy Valley Racecourse on next Wednesday (9 September), up to $20 million in total prize money could be won. The Triple Trio will be topped up with $12.5 million, and the estimated payout could reach $18 million for a single $10 winning unit. The Quartet & First 4 Merged Pool will also carry a total jackpot of $2 million, which will be allocated to the last leg of the Triple Trio and the last race of the night meeting, with each of them carrying a jackpot of $1 million.
