G2 – 1200m – Turf
| Admiral Nelson | From a stable with a great record in this. Although only debuting last week so easily did he win at The Curragh it should not have taken much out of him. Chance. |
| Army Of India | Pinged the gates, and though idling towards the end managed to cling to victory in that 1200m Kempton maiden. Pedigree suggests a good or fast turf surface will suit. |
| Choritzo | Always prominent, he made a winning debut over this trip at Wolverhampton recently. Might not have enough speed against some of these rivals. |
| Creative Force | Appeared to justify an expensive price-tag with an impressive 1200m first-time out success at Newmarket, after quickly grabbing the favoured stands’ rail. |
| Dark Lion | Favourite for a Newmarket maiden on his debut, suggesting he had been showing plenty at home. He finished fourth, looking very inexperienced. |
| Existent | A promising third – despite racing too keenly and also looking unbalanced at one point – in a strong-looking 1200m Newmarket maiden this month. |
| Igotatext | One of plenty of first-time-winners in this field, he was made favourite for his debut at Lingfield and, though having to challenge wide, won quite nicely. |
| Lauded | This G2 was on his agenda even before he had raced. It definitely is now, after he had outspeeded seven rivals over this trip at Haydock. |
| Mehmo | It would be the shock of the season if Mehmo -who showed nothing on his only start -won this. |
| Nando Parrado | Not well drawn on his recent debut, at Newmarket, he was also slowly away so his final fifth place was respectable. Lots of improvement needed though. |
| Painless Potter | Unfancied for his debut at Kempton this month, but despite missing the break and looking very inexperienced he finished strongly into third. |
| Qaader | An impressive debut winner over this trip at Newbury last week, beating his eight rivals easily despite swerving at one point. He’s powerful to look at. |
| Saeiqa | Although not looking particularly happy on the track he ran a promising third, beaten 2.5L by today’s rival Creative Force, at Newmarket this month. |
| Science | Made favourite for his debut at Kempton, he didn’t want to enter the stalls but did nothing wrong in the race failing by a short-head. He’s fast. |
| Talbot | Not eager to enter the stalls but once galloping he proved too good for his rivals on that recent Lingfield debut. Up in grade and trip for this next assignment. |
| Thunder Of Niagara | Showed a professional attitude to outgun some better fancied opponents in a 1200m maiden at Newcastle earlier this month. A promising start. |
