1800m – Dirt

4 wins between 1700m and 2400m from 24 starts over dirt. Last win from a 2100m event a class below at Tokyo last April. Fair 5th in this class (2100m) in February but below par last 2 starts. Tactically versatile.

3 wins, 5 seconds and 5 thirds from 18 starts. Smart 3rd first-up off a 3-month break in Geshi Stakes (1600m) last weekend.

Danza Kuduro

4 wins from 32 starts. Showed improvement early this season, culminated in a narrow win at the course and distance two starts back.

Feel the Pharaoh

3 wins from 20 outings, including a mile race at Tokyo last November. Unplaced all 4 starts this term. Races from rear.

Hagino Atlas

Won twice and finished a 3rd in 3 starts between December and February. Decent 4th in his first-up off a 3-month break last out.

Shifted to dirt racing in his 2 starts this term. Scored a surprise 49/1 win in a 2-win class race over 1900m last out. Hold-up runner.

Key Ground

4 wins at 1700m and 1800m on dirt. Unplaced in 9 starts since finishing a smart 3rd in the JPN G3 Nagoya Daishoten (1900m) in 2018.

Kurino Flash

Won back-to-back over 1400m in December 2018 but well beaten in 4 recent starts.

Misuzu Furioso

3 wins from 21 outings. Well beaten in 9 starts, including 4 this term, since last won at Kyoto in February 2019.

Muscle Beach

3 wins at 1600m and 1800m from 11 outings. Showed good efforts this term when 2nd and 3rd at the class, but only 7th last out.

Shihono Forte

Finished on board in 8 of his 9 career starts. Won 2 in a row early this term and then a smart 3rd in this class last out. Fancied in the betting.

Short Story

4 wins at 1700m and 1800m on dirt, but never tasted success since November 2017. Hold-up runner. No ground issues.

Smart Fleurette

One of the top picks. Never missed on board in 14 outings. Ran 3.5L 3rd in the JPN G3 Marine Cup (1600m) at Funabashi in April. Won twice at the course and distance previously.

Sunrise Senna

3 wins at 1800m from 17 starts. 5th at the class (1900m) two starts back in April but never threaten last out.

T M Jonetsu

Hard to fancy in the betting with only one placing from last 11 starts, but 1800m on dirt should be her best distance.

Tagano Verona

4 wins at 1700m and 1800m from 30 starts. Returned from a break for almost a year early this term but never reached to contention last 3 starts.
