G1 – 1984m – Turf

Aristia |
Despite being by a sprinter, she gets this trip but doesn’t really look like winning a G1 such as this right now even though she did go close to a G2 York win in May. Well beaten at Ascot last time. |
2 |
Dreamloper |
Gained her fifth career win and first G1 with an efficient display at Longchamp in May. Not so good in Ireland last time but her trainer is positive about her lasting this trip on this track where about 800m is downhill. |
3 |
Lilac Road |
Ridden with more patience than formerly, and she managed to deliver a strong run from the back – despite the steady pace – when winning a G2 at York in May, a career best performance. |
4 |
Ville De Grace |
Closed down last season with a Newmarket G3 win over this trip, only just failing to win a G2 on her 2022 debut. Returned soon after at York but ran modestly and has had some time off since. |
5 |
Concert Hall |
Narrowly beat a subsequent G1 winner at Navan on her 2022 return. Has finished fourth in three G1s recently – latterly at Belmont Park. Perhaps best over a longer trip than this. |
6 |
Fonteyn |
Looks to have a good attitude judged by the fact that she missed the break and then raced too keenly but still managed to win a Listed race at York in May. Rises in distance and class here. |
7 |
Nashwa |
Stable have a strong record in this and she must surely have a good chance of providing them another Nassau victory. It was a fabulous performance – powerful in the straight – when winning a G1 French Classic at Chantilly last month. |
8 |
One For Bobby |
Won her first two starts but her best performance came with a strong-finishing third in an 1800m G2 at The Curragh last time. Will be an outsider here but this big filly looks progressive and could easily outrun her odds. |
9 |
Rogue Millennium |
Not disgraced but didn’t look up to G1 winning level when seventh in the Oaks at Epsom. But she has won two of her four starts and was a good second in a Newcastle G3 last time. |
