Did not get a clear run until the final 300m of 2,000m debut in April but still won well. That performance was even more impressive given the saddle slipped in the home straight.

Back down in class after finding the G1 Grand Prix de Paris tough. Has chances on the basis of his third over this distance at Longchamp the time before that.

Friendly Face

Seems to be getting the hang of things. Won a Saint-Cloud handicap over 2,000m and then he was beaten a short head in a Listed race at 2,400m. Improving.

Gregolimo

Not beaten far when third and second in two Group races at Longchamp in April and May. First run for 83 days but not easily discounted.

In Crowd

Three wins from four starts and looked to have plenty of speed when winning here 10 days ago. If he has recovered from those exertions he has a big chance.

Laos

French style of racing appears to suit this British-based colt, who posted a career-best when third in a Listed race over 1,600m. Not out of it if he stays on his first try at 2,000m.

Latest Generation

Didn’t settle on only previous try at 2,000m. Has been in good form over a mile in his last three starts in competitive handicaps and worth a try in this grade.

Quickened up smartly to win all-weather maiden on his second start last November but must now overcome nine month absence.

Quello

Finished third in conditions event at Compiegne, since when both first and second have won Listed races. Followed that up with a confidence-boosting win at Dieppe so he is in good form.

Santorini

Never got into it after a bump at the start of the G1 German Derby over 2,400m. This shorter distance should help and the balance of his form is encouraging.

Shafaaf

Two wins from two starts and looked potentially very exciting when making all to score in a Clairefontaine conditions race. One for the short list.
