String of wins have come in minor company but last two starts for new stable – third in a G3 and a Listed win – suggest he is improving. Still needs more.

Well beaten in fifth at this track in a lower grade race seven days ago. Others preferred.

Curaro Light

Slowly away in Listed race over 1,200m latest and looked ready for the step up to 1,400m when running on to be fourth.

Elysted

Unbeaten in two minor races over today’s distance of 1400m and her trainer has an excellent record with two-year-olds when stepped up to Group class.

Montussan

Appeared to appreciate the drop back to 1200m when third in a Listed race last time and there has to be a question mark about this distance.

Never Dies

Well on top at the end when winning on his second start at Compiegne on very soft ground. More to come if he handles the better going. 

Oneforthegutter

Not beaten far in fourth in a Listed race over 1,200m at Newbury and interesting that shrewd trainer has sent him here.

The Wizard Of Eye

Won well at Newbury on second start and not dismissed despite potentially long odds.

Who Knows

Stayed on well when fourth at the end of G2 over 1200m. The longer distance should suit.
