G1 – 2000m – Turf

Ambition

Looked all set to win this race last year but couldn’t get past Audarya. Made just modest late headway when 6th in a G1 at Saint-Cloud last month, but she should be sharper for that 2021 debut.

Audarya

Came to prominence when battling hard up the Deauville straight to land a shock win in this last year, going on to win a G1 at Keeneland. Ran poorly in a Goodwood G1 last time, with the trainer yet to find a reason.

Cayenne Pepper

This is her ideal trip and she convincingly won a G2 over it at The Curragh last September. Didn’t have enough late kick for two rivals in a G1 there in June but it was still a very solid effort.

Ebaiyra

She tends to race prominently and those tactics have seen her win a Longchamp G3 and Saint-Cloud G2 this season. Unable to peg back one rival in a Saint-Cloud G1 last time but wasn’t given a hard race, and this lesser trip is helpful.

Eudaimonia

Fourth in Listed company at Deauville’s neighbour Clairefontaine on her belated 2021 return this month. Probably needs muddy ground to slow the others down if she is to have any hope here.

Grand Glory

Led 200m out when winning a G3 over this, her ideal trip on her latest start. Not really proven at G1 level and she will certainly need to do that here.

Insinuendo

Lightly-raced but looks very progressive, proving herself at this trip when winning a Naas G3 in May, and as a well-supported favourite she was a convincing G2 winner at The Curragh last time.

Lady Bowthorpe

An unlucky fourth in a red-hot Newmarket G1 two starts back, gaining a much deserved G1 victory when showing terrific speed from off the pace at Goodwood last time, and proving herself at this trip. A major contender.

Thundering Nights

Three terrific runs out of three this season, including a near miss when taken to Belmont Park in June and a narrow G1 victory over this trip at The Curragh last time, showing guts to beat a filly who has since won two G1’s in the USA.
