G3 – 2500m – Turf

Adhafera

A filly who has improved for the adoption of waiting tactics and has finished very well to be second in a Listed race over 2100m and a G2 over 2400m, both at Longchamp. Looks ready to go close again and is a leading contender.

Burgarita

Carries the single strongest piece of form having finished third in G1 Prix de Diane over 2100m. Also finished in front of some key rivals when winning a Listed race over 2200m and her respected trainer expect her to improve at this longer distance. Likely favourite.

Citronnade

Seemed an improved filly after a short break, with two wins in Ireland. Last start was in handicap company but she should not be underestimated, especially if the ground turns soft.

Free Wind

Has progressed through the ranks quite quickly in Britain and was only just beaten in a Listed race at Newmarket over 2400m. She has yet to race on soft ground but with a favourable weather forecast looks to have place chances.

Jannah Flower

Built on two solid efforts in maiden races to win a Listed race over 2100m at Longchamp in June. She looks open to further improvement but must prove she is effective at this longer trip.

Ricla

Battled well to only be beaten a length by Thunder Drum in a G3 over 2400m at Chantilly in June. Consistent since, with a Listed win and a third placed effort in G2, both at Longchamp. Place chances.

Sayyida

Only narrowly beaten in a Newmarket Listed race over 2400m last month and looks to be progressing. Her trainer has a good overall record when sending horses to Deauville.

Thunder Drum

Only had one maiden win to her name before taking a major step forward when stepped up in distance and grade in a Chantilly G3 over 2400m. That was on soft ground. Her in-form trainer won his third G1 of the season here last Sunday.

Weetamoo

Could not match the pace of Burgarita in a Longchamp Listed race over 2200m. Two wins since over 2400m in minor races and the trip looks likely to suit.
