2392m – Turf

1

Sir Lamorak

Won both races this year. Hit by big rise in handicap rating after stylish win over 2000m at Leopardstown in April. Still likely to be competitive.

2

Siskany

Won both runs this year over 2000m. Made all and won impressively at Sandown last month. Bred to benefit from longer distance and a live candidate.

3

Lord Protector

German bred. Unbeaten in three outings at up to 2000m. Likely to stay 2400m. Respected.

4

Nagano

Progressive, winner of two novice races over 2000m. Likely to improve further and a fair chance.

5

Act Of Wisdom

1.1million guineas yearling. Three time winner over 2000m last year. Only fair run behind useful Mohaafeth in April. Not seen since and might prefer softer ground.

6

Francesco Guardi

Too keen when well beaten on only start this year. An unlikely winner.

7

Just Fine

Promising last year but last behind useful Mohaafeth at Newmarket in April. Not run since. Hard to recommend.

8

Marshall Plan

Decent performances in novice races over this trip on all-weather tracks, not seen since April. Not an obvious chance.

9

Kondo Isami

Progressive and solid efforts when winner then runner-up in handicaps at York then Doncaster. Stays the trip and acts on fast ground. A fair chance.

10

Sir William Bruce

A step forward when winning handicap over this trip under top weight at Leopardstown last month. Likely to improve and a fair chance.

11

First Light

Facile victory in ordinary maiden race at Ripon last month following earlier respectable efforts. Difficult to assess but may be well handicapped. Respected.

12

Too Friendly

Well beaten in Listed race over 2015m at Epsom in April. Not seen since and an unlikely winner.

13

San Martino

Sole win from nine starts in maiden at Killarney last year. Respectable runner-up over 1400m 12 days ago. Acts on soft. Very uncertain to stay the trip.

14

Military Mission

Consistently run well and followed up easy win in novice race on soft ground over 1983m at Salisbury with creditable second in Chester handicap. Fairly handicapped and could improve. Not ruled out.

15

Parachute

Run consistently well at up to 2400m on heavy and firm going. Should run with credit.

16

Surefire

Patiently trained and after a break won a 2000m handicap at Leicester nicely on fast ground. Will stay the trip and a definite contender.

17

Surrey Gold

Improved and dominant winner of fair handicap at Newbury last month. Races off higher handicap mark but not ruled out.

18

Soapy Stevens

Hit winning form recently, showing suited by 2400m or more and by fast ground. Fair handicap mark and a fair chance.

19

Tashkhan

Cheap 2-y-o but improved to win two out of three handicaps this year. Stays 2400m. May prefer soft ground. Needs to defy a raised handicap mark.

Reserves

20

Glen Again

Plenty of creditable runs without significant progress. Already run twice this month. An unlikely winner.

21

Love Is Golden

Consistent this season. Often front runs and not suited by restraint on latest run 5 days ago. Needs to improve.

22

Annandale

Well beaten on latest two outings, including 12 days ago over 2495m at Musselburgh. Not good enough.
