G1 – 1200m – Turf
| Dream Of Dreams | His career best performance came in this last year when – rushing from the back he finished so far he would have won in a few more strides. Fast ground would help. |
| Hello Youmzain | A powerful speedster with a real engine. An excellent third in a G1 here last year, doing even better when landing a G1 sprint at Haydock. Very fit according to his trainer. |
| Khaadem | Went off the boil late last year perhaps because of very slow ground. Despite a big weight he had outclassed 26 rivals in a famous Goodwood handicap earlier. |
| Sands Of Mali | Wants soft ground to be seen at his best, conditions that prevailed when he sprung a big shock in a G1 here in 2018. Lightly raced since. |
| Sceptical | An amazingly cheap purchase who has quickly become Ireland’s highest rated sprinter, notably because he demolished his opponents over 1100m at Naas this month. |
| Shine So Bright | His career has been mostly programmed over longer trips than this. Best on fast ground, winning a 1400m York G2 on it last year. |
| Speak In Colours | At long odds for this last year, but only beaten 3.5L in fourth though never looking like winning. Just outstayed in a 1400m G3 at The Curragh last weekend. |
| The Tin Man | This old favourite loves this track as he showed when winning this in 2017 and had a poor trip when a close fourth in 2018. Can’t be ruled out if at the top of his game. |
| Breathtaking Look | Having her first Ascot start, she was a fast-ground Doncaster G3 winner last year. Only outspeeded by an improving rival in a 1200m G3 this month. |
| One Master | Needs slow ground and has a better record over 1400m. But hugely talented as she showed again with a finishing thrust to capture a Longchamp G1 last October. |
