2392m – Turf
1 | Dubai Future | Two good runs in Dubai early this year, including when runner-up in G3. Stays well, probably best on sound surface. Fair chance. |
2 | El Misk | Steady progress last year, finished in first two in 6 of his 7 runs. Needs further improvement, which is possible. |
3 | West End Charmer | Cheap purchase but done well and improved to win decent handicap easily in June after a year off. Raised in handicap but remains of interest. |
4 | Dal Horrisgle | Progressive in 2019 and ran respectably in valuable G3 at Goodwood before flopping in similar race. Not run for 10 months but chance if resuming progress. |
5 | Universal Order | Decent form last year and looked to have improved when winning a Listed handicap at Meydan in January. Will probably improve again and reasonable chance. |
6 | Byron Flyer | Versatile 9yo mixes Flat racing with jumping. Prolific winner but this will surely now be beyond him. |
7 | Getchagetchagetcha | Plenty of practice with mixed results. Well beaten both appearances at Royal Ascot. This is his trip but not consistent. |
8 | Le Don De Vie | Sold for £460,000 after won twice at Epsom. Looked expensive after only adequate runs from higher handicap mark. A lot to prove. |
9 | Durston | Improved through last season, winning two decent handicaps before failing in G3. Not run for 10 months but stays trip well and fair chance. |
10 | Deja | Progressive 5yo, won four of six races, including impressively over 2399m at Kempton last July. Has run well after long breaks. Interesting, especially if give in ground. |
11 | Dolphin Vista | 7yo on the decline. Changed stables since latest run in February. An unlikely winner. |
12 | Protected Guest | In good form last September, narrowly beaten over course and distance. Unbalanced into dip at Newmarket on return but needs big step up. |
13 | Koeman | 6yo kept busy. A good handicapper over this trip but never won off a mark this high. Best on fast ground. |
14 | Indianapolis | A brief spell with Aidan O’Brien before joining James Given. Won over course and distance in last August but was beaten this month. Unlikely winner. |
15 | Johnny Drama | Well beaten in this race last year after performing well in Ireland. Joined Andrew Balding afterwards and good 2nd at York between two disappointing runs. An outside chance. |
16 | Good Birthday | Good 3rd in Cambridgeshire Handicap last September over 1800m. Reasonable run over 2000m this month and may stay new trip. |
17 | Scarlet Dragon | Worthy 7yo who was hurdling last year and not won on Flat since 2016. Unlikely to recapture old form. |
18 | Al Muffrih | Capable handicapper but finished last when favourite for valuable handicap at Haydock last July and absent since. Needs to bounce back. |
19 | Medal Winner | Started off at low level in 2019 but improved and very promising success this month over 2000m. Excellent chance if stays the trip. |

Desert Icon | Some success in 2019 but beaten favourite in recent runs. Only a satisfactory return over 2000m this month. Needs to improve quickly.
Hereby | Improved throughout 2019, winning five of seven races, ending with success over 2831m at Ascot in last October. Probably best on soft ground. Interesting.
Babbo’s Boy | Sold after became disappointing last year. Gelded and blinkered, won well for new stable this month. Interesting. |
