| 1 | Bonne Vitesse | Won small race at Pontefract on second run nine days ago. Now faces much stiffer opposition. A big task. |
| 2 | Cirrus | Promising debut when runner-up to Setarhe at Newmarket this month. Had benefit of racing against rails. Should improve. |
| 3 | Dandalla | Readily won over 1000m on all-weather this month. Will stay longer trip but faces a tougher task. |
| 4 | Flying Aletha | Easy winner over 1000m on dirt in US last month. Faces very different challenge but as a Wesley Ward representative, respected. |
| 5 | Follow Suit | Cheap buy but won on debut on all-weather 10 days ago. This very much harder. |
| 6 | Golden Melody | Won novice event nicely at Haydock 12 days ago. A fair chance although may prove better over further. |
| 7 | Mahale | Stayed on well when promising fourth over 1000m at Newmarket this month. Should improve and live outsider. |
| 8 | Mariance | Cheap purchase. Outpaced and wide into straight on debut at Lingfield then ran on well in fourth. A big challenge but a live outsider. |
| 9 | Mother Earth | Did well to stay on into second behind easy winner Frenetic over 1149m at Navan nine days ago. |
| 10 | Setarhe | Slowly away, came from last to win cosily over 1200m at Newmarket, beating Cirrus. A taking introduction and has a good chance. |
| 11 | Undertake | Won in workmanlike fashion on all-weather this month. Not dismissed but stablemate Setarhe a more convincing candidate. |
| 12 | Valpolicella | 20-1 winner on debut over 1200m at Newmarket this month. Faces stiffer opposition. |
| 13 | Ventura Vision | Disappointing when beaten at odds-on by On My Way on the all-weather 11 days ago. Will need to improve quickly. |
| 14 | Willabell | Promising debut when showed pace and led until caught near line at Yarmouth nine days ago. A fair chance. |
