G1 – 1200m – Turf
| Aberama Gold | Improved to win Listed race last year but well behind Dubai Station in G3 this month. Out of his depth. |
| Dubai Station | Did well last year when third at Royal Ascot in G2 Norfolk Stakes. Returned to form when won G3 on all-weather this month. This tougher but a fair chance. |
| Golden Horde | Top class form last year, ending with narrow defeat in G1 Middle Park. Experienced, able and consistent. Every chance. |
| Lope Y Fernandez | Only a week since failed to stay 1600m when third in G1 Irish 2000 Guineas. This may be best distance but readily beaten by Golden Horde in Middle Park. Hard to predict. |
| Mums Tipple | After promising start to last year well beaten in Middle Park and last of 15 in 2,000 Guineas this month. A huge task after that. |
| Pierre Lapin | Last year showed talent, high class form and potential for even better when winning G2 Mill Reef. Patiently trained by Roger Varian. Excellent chance. |
| Pistoletto | Won two small races early in career but generally only fair runs when raised in class. Blinkered when third in Listed race on return. An unlikely winner. |
| Royal Commando | Best run when fourth to Pierre Lapin in G2 Mill Reef. Failed on soft ground in G1 Dewhurst. Not run since and be a huge achievement to win. |
| Royal Crusade | In three appearances last year showed good ability to be placed at G2 and G3 level over 1400m. Needs further progress and drop in trip not certain to suit. |
| Royal Lytham | Good runs last year including winning G2 July Stakes at Newmarket. Blinkered when well beaten a week ago in G1 Irish 2000 Guineas. Return to 1200m may help but needs to. |
| Southern Hills | Not run since won Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot last year. Talented but this a difficult challenge. |
| Ventura Rebel | Fine first season including runner-up in G2 Norfolk Stakes. Disappointing behind Dubai Station on return this month and only outside chance. |
| Wooded | French raider. Improved to win G3 easily at Chantilly last month. May improve further but needs to in this company. |
| Kimari | Wesley Ward’s US raiders always need respecting. Kimari just beaten in G2 Queen Mary here last year. If as good over 1200m a big chance. |
| Les Hogues | Respectable at G3 level when trained in France. Moved to England and way behind in 1000 Guineas. Looks out of depth. |
| Millisle | Improved last year to win G1 Cheveley Park but disappointed over 1600m this month in 1000 Guineas. Return to 1200m might help. Hard to predict. |
| Shadn | Improved to finish third to Pierre Lapin in Mill Reef then win G2 in France. Needs to improve further and only a fair chance. |
