1600m – Turf
Dubai Love | Won the valuable UAE 1000 Guineas over this trip at Meydan in January. Has also won on a turf surface. An interesting contender.
Night Colours | Favourite, she surged from the back to win a G2 on heavy ground over this distance at San Siro, Italy, last October. Ran modestly on her 2020 return.
Festive Star | A smart two-year-old in 2019, outclassing her rivals in a 1500m Listed race at San Siro, Italy. Failed to handle heavy ground on her final start last season.
Wejdan | Won on her debut at Newbury but flopped without any obvious reason in a Newmarket G3 in October. Should be happy over 1600m.
Separate | Tried front-running and hold-up tactics during a busy 12 race two-year-old career. She’s won twice but may struggle against less exposed rivals.
Soffika | Finished strongly when second in a Newmarket G3 last August. Not seen since but bred to thrive at this distance. Will be fancied here.
Graceful Magic | Competed in some strong races in 2019 and won three times- over shorter distances and on fast ground. Outclassed in a G1 on her return.
Alabama Whitman | Won a minor event on her third start but then two ambitious attempts in group company failed to pay off. Makes her 2020 return.
Huboor | Beat 14 rivals in a Newmarket handicap in September but never threatened off a stiffer handicap mark on her 2020 return. Up in trip.
Al Rasmah | She came from off the pace and, though never looking like winning that Haydock handicap over a similar distance this month, it was a good start to 2020.
Waliyak | Started favourite for all three starts, last autumn. Second twice and then won easily at Wolverhampton, leading and quickening clear. No stamina issues.
Odyssey Girl | Quite busy so far, including two wins. Close to victory in three all-weather starts this season. Consistent and now proven at this trip.
Declared Interest | Bossed from the front – winning easily – when making her seasonal and handicap debut at Chelmsford last week. Stable in hot winning form.
Onassis | Took her time to hit winning form last season, but posted a career best when landing a Newcastle all-weather handicap on her final start.
Mrs Upjohn | Outclassed modest rivals at Lingfield in January but faded from first to last in Listed company last time. Debut on a turf surface here.
Kalsara | Won a minor event at Kempton in a tight finish. Outclassed in second at Newbury on her final 2019 start but the winner is G1 class.
African Dream | Likely favourite for a stable in great form. A strong challenge in a hot Newbury novices’ event last week only just failed. Progressive.
Tiritomba | Best of her four starts the final one, at Kempton last November when a decent third of eleven over this trip.
