Two racecourses open for five days from tomorrow. Betting for simulcast races and limited customer services available

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) reminds customers that the Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses will be open from 15 June to 19 June to provide betting services for the Royal Ascot simulcast races and limited customer services. Shuttle bus services to and from the Sha Tin Racecourse will be provided in Sha Tin, Tsuen Wan and Kwun Tong. Betting services for local races and football will not be available at the racecourses, and the Mark Six lottery will remain suspended.

Details of the arrangements at the Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses are as follows:

– All customers are required to enter and leave the racecourses through the Public Admission Gates. Customers are required to receive temperature screening before entry. They are also required to fill in a health declaration form < download here > and wear surgical masks inside the racecourses. Anyone who has travelled overseas within 14 days before their entry into the racecourses will not be admitted, except those who are exempted by the HKSAR Government from quarantine requirement. All customers and staff are required to observe the prevailing social distancing and group gathering restrictions as promulgated by the HKSAR Government during their stay in the racecourses.

– Hand sanitisers will be provided at the entrances and inside the betting halls of the racecourses.

– Only a limited number of customers will be able to enter the racecourses at one time and special measures will be implemented to ensure appropriate social distancing. To prevent over-crowding, customers are required to leave the racecourses after the completion of service.

– Shuttle bus services will be available from 10:00 am on 15 June to 19 June at below pick-up points to and from the Sha Tin Racecourse. The last shuttle bus will depart from the pick-up points at 6:00 pm and from the Sha Tin Racecourse at 6:45 pm. Customers are required to receive temperature screening and wear surgical masks before boarding. Special seating arrangements will be implemented inside the shuttle buses to ensure appropriate social distancing.

– Betting services and odds displays of local races and football matches will not be available inside the racecourses. The Mark Six lottery will remain suspended.

– Parking will not be available at the racecourses. Customers can use public transport services to visit the racecourses.

– All Off-Course Betting Branches will remain closed.
