Keiichiro Yasuda, assistant to Takayuki Yasuda, said: “He was a bit embarrassed with his new atmosphere last week but has been familiarised with it, and his appetite is back. I think he has improved a lot mentally. Hopefully he will be a fitting horse.”

Lei Papale – JPN
Exercised on the walking machine for 60 minutes.
Yoichi Ogawa, assistant to Tomokazu Takano, said: “She worked a bit stronger yesterday, but all has gone well so far.”

Geoglyph – JPN 
Ridden in the quarantine training area for about an hour and then worked on the all-weather, clocking 31.9 for the final 400m.

 “He was tired after his fight from Japan, so we didn’t want to overdo it today. He is eating just as well as he was back home and is doing better than yesterday.” said training assistant Yuya Tsuchida.

Jack d’Or – JPN 
Warmed up on in the quarantine training area before cantering a lap and half around the all weather course.
“His condition hasn’t changed since coming here. Since we didn’t go particularly fast yesterday, we took him out to the track again today. He is settling in better each day,” training assistance Kazuma Kageyama said.

Panthalassa – JPN 
Exercised on the walking machine before being ridden for about 30 minutes in the quarantine stables.
Training assistant Yusaku Oka said: “He arrived in good condition and his training is continuing according to schedule.”

Danon Scorpion – JPN
Walked in the trotting ring for 60 minutes at the quarantine stable.
Assistant to trainer Takayuki Yasuda, Keiichiro Yasuda said: “Everything is new for him here, but he has been very relaxed. He is in good condition and setting well for the big race.”

Schnell Meister – JPN
Cantered two laps around the dirt course. “Since he travelled to Dubai this spring, he was able to arrive to Hong Kong in good condition without being affected by the change in environment,” training assistant Shun Nabata said.

Salios – JPN 
Warmed up on in the quarantine training area before moving to the all-weather course. He trotted two furlongs and then hacked another 1000m. “The focus of today’s training was to get used to the environment. This is his second time in Hong Kong so he has settled in a little quicker than before. He was less excited and more relaxed. We will continue to monitor him and make adjustments as the race approaches,” said training assistant Mitsuo Tsuchiaki.

Naran Huleg – JPN
Walked in the trotting ring at the quarantine stable for 60 minutes.
Travelling head lad Shoichi Fukui said: “He is very fresh and is in good form. He lost some weight after the travel to Hong Kong but it is still in our estimation. He looks great. We will give him a ride from tomorrow.”

Meikei Yell – JPN
Exercised on the walking machine for 60 minutes.
Assistant to trainer Hidenori Take, Kaname Ogino said: “She has a great mode today. She may have been settled into the new surroundings.

Gendarme – JPN
Walked for an hour at the the quarantine stable.
“He moved today like he was very relaxed. He is eating well.” said training assistant Yuki Iwasaki. 

Resistencia- JPN 
Hand walked for 50 minutes in the quarantine training area. “She isn’t eating up as well as she did in Japan but she hasn’t lost much condition. We hope to continue to see improvements leading up to the race,” training assistant Hiroyuki Kanahama said.

LONGINES Hong Kong Vase

Botanik – FR
Worked a lap on the all-weather track with Bubble Gift, clocking 52.3s (26.4, 25.9) over the final 800m.
Travelling head groom Richard Lambert said: “Everything is fine with him. He travelled over without a problem and his recovery and acclimatisation has gone well. He did a very light canter this morning and he’s pleasing us. He may go on the grass tomorrow just to get a feel for the surface but it won’t be a piece of work.”

Bubble Gift – FR
Worked a lap on the all-weather track with Botanik, clocking 56.9s (30.3, 26.6) for the final 800m.
Travelling head lad Aymeric Candas said: “He travelled over with Botanik and all went well. Although it was his first long journey, he is a good traveller and very relaxed, he never moves at all in the lorry at home. Christophe Lemaire might have a sit on him later in the week, we’ll see.”

Broome – IRE
Galloped on the all-weather course with stablemates Order Of Australia and Stone Age, clocking 1m 32.2s (31.0, 31.7, 29.5) over the final 1200m.
Travelling head lad Pat Keating said: “They all got here on Saturday and came out for just a leg stretch on Sunday so today they just did a little bit more. They’re 100%, very happy with all of them.”

Stone Age – IRE
Galloped on the all-weather course with stablemates Order Of Australia and Broome, clocking 1m 33.3s (31.1, 31.6, 30.6) over the final 1200m.
Travelling head lad Pat Keating said: “They all got here on Saturday and came out for just a leg stretch on Sunday so today they just did a little bit more. They’re 100%, very happy with all of them.”

Order Of Australia – IRE
Galloped on the all-weather course with stablemates Broome and Stone Age, clocking 1m 32.0s (30.9,31.3, 29.8) over the final 1200m.
Travelling head lad Pat Keating said: “They all got here on Saturday and came out for just a leg stretch on Sunday so today they just did a little bit more. They’re 100%, very happy with all of them.”

Mendocino – GER
Galloped on the all-weather track, clocking 1m 23.8s (28.4, 28.8, 26.6) over the final 1200m.
Trainer Sarah Steinberg said: Mendocino had a good journey to Hong Kong and felt loose and supple this morning. His preparation has gone perfectly so far.”

Glory Vase – JPN
Walked in the quarantine training area for about an hour.
Training Assistant Satou Takeuchi said: “He has relaxed well into his new surroundings and seems to be in good condition.”

Win Marilyn – JPN
Warmed up in the trotting ring at the quarantine stable and came on the all-weather track for one lap.
Assistant to trainer Takahisa Tezuka, Daiki Yajima said: “She is shying and has not settled into the new surroundings here yet, as it is her first time travel to Hong Kong. She needs a bit of time to get more used to the new place.”
