Following an incident in Race 5 at Sha Tin Racecourse today (Saturday, 24 December), it was decided due to safety reasons to declare the race void.

Jockey Hugh Bowman, who was dislodged from Fast Pace at the first turn after the 1650m start on the all-weather track in Race 5, required urgent assessment from medical staff, prompting the decision by Racing Stewards to abandon mid-race.

Jockey Hugh Bowman is conscious and has been taken to hospital for further examination.
