The Chinese New Year Raceday will be held at Sha Tin Racecourse on Thursday, 3 February, the third day of Chinese New Year, and will mark the Year of the Tiger. Racing fans will be able to watch the exciting racing action at home and enjoy the festivities of Chinese New Year (CNY) via a series of digital activities.

Digital activities of CNY Raceday include:

• CNY greetings from Club Chairman Philip Chen, CEO Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, trainers and jockeys will be broadcast at noon live on TV from Sha Tin before race 1 on CNY Raceday.

• By scanning QR codes via TV during the CNY Raceday or at the themed site https://bit.ly/3u0Zpnu  until 15 February, fans will be able to share in the fun and bring good fortune via Trainers and Jockeys Greeting Whatsapp Stickers and Virtual Blessings from the God of Fortune AR Filter. The images can be saved on your phone and shared to loved ones with a CNY blessing and good luck message.  

• Feng-shui Master Clement Chan shares his fortune tips via the TV broadcast live in between races on the CNY Raceday for a year of good fortune and prosperity.

The highlights on track include the Class 1 Chinese New Year Cup (1400m) as part of the 11-race programme at Sha Tin.
Due to the closed-door mode in response to the COVID-19 situation on the Chinese New Year Raceday, all on-course activities have been cancelled.
