The Hong Kong Jockey Club (The Club) was informed last night (10 January 2022) by the Centre for Health Protection that one person confirmed positive of COVID-19 on 9 January and two persons tested preliminary positive of COVID-19 on 10 January have visited The Millions on 3/F of Happy Valley Stand in Happy Valley Racecourse (“Premises”) on 1 January.

The Club emphasises a high importance regarding the protection of our employees, Members and customers. As soon as the Club was made aware of this incident, immediate actions have been undertaken to track the visiting records of the concerned person and traced whether there were Members, customers and employees who were within the vicinity of the Premises during the same period.

We have successfully identified the Member who made the venue booking and reminded the Member to inform other guests.

The Club has also identified those employees who have served in the Premises that day. We have arranged them to take COVID-19 tests and they will not be rostered for duties until negative results are returned.

The Club would like to add that despite 1 January 2022 was a raceday, the races were conducted at the Sha Tin Racecourse.

The Millions will be closed for deep cleansing today (11 January 2022) until further notice. In association, the Six Furlong Express service there will also be suspended.
