Mitsuo Tsuchiaki, assistant for Noriyuki Hori, said: "He seems to be doing well after his fast work and has a good aura about him. He is doing really well physically so we hope to keep him this way up through the race."

Trainer Takahisa Tezuka said: "Both of my horses are doing well. My assistant, Mr Yajima, passed his trainers’ exam the other day so I have a feeling like it will be a good day."

Trainer Yasutoshi Ikee said: "Our main goal was to get him to relax here. He seems to have got used to his environment. He is in good condition."
Lim’s Kosciuszko – SIN
Cantered for a circuit of the all-weather track and showed plenty of charisma as he walked past the cameras back towards the stables.
Trainer Dan Meagher said: "It was just a quiet canter today and he’ll have an easy one tomorrow. I’ve just done the same as I would do at home, he has never galloped the week of a big race in his life. The more the week has gone on, the better he has looked. He has become the horse he is in Singapore, he loves all the attention."

Jockey Kyosuke Maruta said: "He has been settled in and had a nice and easy canter with good rhythm. He schooled at the gate to get familiarised with it and a person was pretending to be a stall handler. He practiced under the same situation before he came here and seemed to have no issue."

Was ridden for a lap of the all-weather track by jockey Joao Moreira, clocking 51.9s (27.7, 24.2) before gate schooling.
Moreira said: "She worked really well, looks like she is in good condition and I’d be surprised if she doesn’t run up to her best."

Speaking by phone from France, trainer Andre Fabre said: "He has worked pretty well. I was a bit disappointed with his race in Longchamp but I must admit that he didn’t like the ground. That was the case last year when he was disappointing on soft ground. But everything has gone fine.
"He had some minor issues but he has always been a good horse, even at two. Absolutely he has the attributes for this race. He might just lack a little bit of acceleration which is necessary in Hong Kong. But we’ll learn a lot more about him in this race."
Broome – IRE

Did a steady canter on the all-weather under regular rider Valerian Idier in 1.18.5s (27.9, 26.0, 24.6).
Trainer Mikel Delzangles said: "He is very calm and is moving well in his canters so everything is going fine. He is always very well-behaved at home but he can get a bit nervous at the races. When he has a change of environment but that can also be a factor but he has been better every day since he arrived.
"On Sunday he will probably get a little bit wound up like he does on a raceday back home but that has never had a bearing on how he performs. Everything has gone as well as we could possibly hoped."
Glory Vase – JPN
Walked and trotted up in the quarantine training area for 40 minutes before schooling in the gate and the paddock.
Trainer Tomohito Ozeki said: "We had a routine schooling in the gate today, no problems there."
Mendocino – GER
Galloped around the all-weather track, looking sharp. He was ridden as usual by trainer Sarah Steinberg and watched by Sunday’s rider Rene Piechulek, clocking 56.1s (29.9, 26.2).
Steinberg said: "Mendocino was very relaxed today. I’m happy with the way his preparation is going."
Stone Age – IRE
Underwent barrier gate practice and went a circuit of the all-weather track with stablemates Order Of Australia and Broome, quickening over the final 800m, finishing the exercise nicely, clocking 1m13.5s (25.2, 24.8, 23.5).
