G1 – 2009m – Turf

Alenquer The brave winner of a G1 at The Curragh on his penultimate start but lacked the same zest when last of six behind rival here Vadeni in a G1 at Sandown in July.
Broome His good course and distance record at this track, winning two G3’s in 2019 means he can’t be ignored. Benefitted from a famously good ride to win a G2 at Royal Ascot in June.
Mishriff Had an amazing big-money winning spell – at Riyadh and Meydan in early 2021 and this really tough horse bounced back to a G1 victory at York. No wins since but unlucky not to grab another G1 victory at Sandown.
Luxembourg Has a huge reputation, winning four of his five starts. Although he had to work hard to win a G3 at The Curragh last time – as a red-hot favourite – pre-race training hiccups may explain that.
Onesto Posted a clear career best when coming from the back to win a 2400m G1 at Longchamp in July. Lightly raced and clearly very high class but the drop back is a bit of a worry.
Stone Age Not beaten far in two fast ground G1’s in the US on latest starts. Positive that he was an impressive G3 win over this course and distance back in May. Best on good ground rather than slow.
Vadeni One of the stars of the European season, winning G1’s on his last two starts – decisively at Chantilly and then showing courage at Sandown in stronger company. Has exciting acceleration, handles any ground and looks the one to beat.
