A Bath winner, he was not fast enough in a 1000m G2 at Ascot last time, racing too freely and then short of room to challenge. Bred for this longer trip.

Won on his debut but best effort came over this course and distance last time when finishing well into second, and clear of the other runners. Stable have won this before.

A winner on his second start but hasn’t really progressed since, and twice a beaten favourite. Not an obvious winner.

A good second over 1000m here was followed by a front-running Thirsk victory over this trip. Outclassed twice in G2 company since, though not disgraced last time.

Makes a quick reappearance having won a novices’ event over 1000m on Kempton’s all-weather track on his career debut this month.

Has won his last two starts, going up to 1400m when landing a handicap at Thirsk last time. Drop back in trip a bit of a worry.

Improved on three modest efforts to win a 1400m Leicester handicap this month, his first run since being gelded. Stronger opposition here.

Some fair efforts without winning in six starts. It will be a big surprise if some of these rivals aren’t too quick for him.

A much improved effort on his latest start when finishing strongly into third in a competitive novices’ event.

Two solid runs, latterly winning over this trip at Newcastle in June with the first two clear of the rest. Looks the right type for a race the stable have won before.

Not seen since decisively winning over this trip at Ripon in May, with subsequent winners coming out of that race. Stable have a great record in this.

Made the perfect start when winning a novices’ event 1400m on quick ground. Not so good on slow ground last time.

A 1000m front-running maiden winner, then just caught in the last strides of a novices’ event over this trip. Belongs on the shortlist.

Has already been busy, winning two of her eight starts, most recently finishing strongly from off the pace in a Nottingham handicap over this trip.

Showed some ability on her first and only start when fourth of 15 over this trip on her debut, in late June.
