The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting nine races from the Grosser Preis von Berlin Day and Prix Jacques le Marois Day on Sunday, 14 August.
Grosser Preis von Berlin Day (first race 7.15pm Hong Kong time)
The Grosser Preis von Berlin (G1 2400M for 3yo+) has a rich history and is the highlight of Berlin’s racing season. This year it is also run as one of the events marking the 200th Anniversary of German Racing. The roll of honour includes Danedream and Torquator Tasso, Germany’s two most recent winners of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
Prix Jacques le Marois Day (first race 8.33pm Hong Kong time)
The Prix Jacques le Marois (G1 1600M for 3yo+) is undoubtedly the jewel of Deauville’s summer festival. With a Pattern Race Rating of 119.75, it is the world’s joint-second highest rated mile contest last year.
The day’s other features include the G3 Prix Gontaut-Biron Hong Kong Jockey Club, the annual reciprocal race in recognition of the long-standing relationship between the two racing authorities in France and Hong Kong.
