A six-year-old who could still be improving judging by her victory off a big weight in a well-contested handicap here this month. At her best on fast ground.

Her six starts – including three wins – have all come at different tracks. Having her first start for 240 days, she is fast but her trainer thinks she may do better when competing over further than this.

Queen Kahlua

Had a disappointing time in 2021, never getting near the winners’ money in eight starts. Ratings suggest she has a very hard task here plus she may be better over further.

Has moved to the UK, having shown some decent winning form in France though mostly tried over longer trips than this.

Tenaya Canyon

Has won two of her nine starts on a turf surface. Considering she had a horrendous trip she ran quite encouragingly on her 2022 return, at Bath this month.

Umm Kulthum

First start of 2022 for this lightly raced filly but possibilities as she had won a G3 at Ayr and a close up third in a G1 over this course and distance as a two-year-old, also a close third in a G2 last year.

Flotus

Gradually got her act together last season, running a clear career best on her final start when leading most of the way – only grabbed late on – in a fast-ground G1 over this course and distance. Good chance.
