Bronze Red

4-year-old colt is 11-6-2-6 since moving to this level, all over turf 1200m. Only second time at Nakayama, but runner-up in Nakayama at this level in mid-January. Tends to race midfield, lackluster final kick but could be competitive here.

Cosmo Cattivo

Has best a seventh in last 10 starts, all over 6 furlongs turf. Not a contender.

Derma Kannon

Classy filly, a sprint specialist, is 2-5 since racing at this level, both starts over Nakayama 1200m. Has 10 finishes from 18 in the top three. Not raced since mid-January, which is a concern. Promising.

Elegante Reina

Miho-based mare chronically slow at break, with consistently poor results. Surprised with win in class below over Fukushima 1200m three starts ago. Not promising.

Gempachi Meteor

4-year-old gelding coming off a poor showing over the Hanshin 1200m on 2 April. Speed, stamina lacking. Did poorly in only start at Nakayama (over mile). Likely not a contender.

Geumeusilakko

Has 3-8-6 over 6 furlongs since moving to this class, all at Nakayama. Tends to race midfield in one gear. Could surprise with right trip.

Luminous Line

Consistent filly raced predominately over 5-6 furlongs had made top three in 5 of her last 7 starts, but floundered on yielding track last out over Nakayama 1200m in late March. Good speed, suited to high pace of Nakayama 1200m and short stretch. Worth a wager.

Mountain Musume

4-year-old front-runner is on target for a win, with two starts last month over Nakayama 1200m that saw her narrowly miss the win. Has performed well from inside and outside gates, heavy and fast ground. Promising.

Nilkanta Tesoro

Started over turf, moved to dirt, now back with 13-8-15 showing over last three starts, all over 5-6 furlongs of turf. Not promising.

Rastrillo

4-year-old filly started career with promise and was soon racing at the graded-stakes level with little success. Dropped down to this level and only placed once until last out with smooth trip over Nakayama 1200m in mid-January. Showed good speed in stretch. Trip is key. Could surprise.

Saiya Dancer

Last out over Nakayama mile in late January. Only second turf race since debut 14 starts ago. Finished 3.3L behind winner and took well to grass. Something of a wild card.

Shonan Last Boss

4-year-old colt posted 11-4 in two starts since moving to this class, both over 6 furlongs, last in late March over Nakayama 1200m on yielding track. Has been poor at break, but has matured and is showing improvement recently. Promising.

Suzuno Fubuki

8-year-old gelding has best 8th in last six starts at this level. Return to turf for the first time since 2017, when posted three sixth-place finishes over mile. Wild card.
