1800m – Dirt

Bullbear Kairi

On target for win after 2nd in Nakayama 1800m mid-March. Early speed and can handle any going. Promising.

Daishin Virginis

NAR colt moved to JRA being given 500 metres more following poor showing at Tokyo in February. First time at Nakayama, distance. Wild card, but not promising.

I Am Ichiryu

On target for win with a 2-2 from last two starts over Nakayama 1800m. Ground not a factor. Just needs a bit of luck.

Lady Oso

Big 4-year-old filly has been raced primarily over 6-7 furlongs. First time at more distance, has early speed. Could benefit from bigger Nakayama track. Wild card.

Masaka Umazammai

Posted 5-6-7-7 over 1700-1900m, including Nakayama 1800m last out late March. Missed break in recent starts. Best finishes have come racing to right, including third over Nakayama 1800m in January. Back at right-handed venue, could get lucky with better break.

Miyuki Diamond

6-year-old mare returned after 4 months to finish two off rear in Nakayama 1800m. Was agitated in gate and broke poorly. One gear, poor speed. Not promising.

Peace Bonheur

Returned after nearly a year off for poor showing over Nakayama 1800m earlier this month. Missed break with inside gate. But can do better and could be competitive amid this field.

Salute

Has 11-9 in two starts over Nakayama 1800m this year. Likely not a contender.

Say Hello To You

Big colt returned after 7 months for far fourth (4 lengths behind runner-up I Am Ichiryu) in Nakayama 1800m at end of March. Improvement expected.

Spark In The Eye

First start of year. Posted 8-3-4 late last year in 9 furlongs at Chukyo and Hanshin. Has previous fifth over Nakayama 1800m. Could do well amid this field.

Suzuno Inazuma

Posted 8-6-8 in three starts since mid-December, all over Nakayama 1800m. Stumbled at break last out. Should show improvement. With a bit of luck could make the money.

Vargas

Stumbled at break last out early January over Nakayama 2400m, recovered, but failed to hold ground. Shorter distance a plus. If breaks well could be competitive amid this field.
