1200m – Turf

1 Adeb To be ridden for the first time by star lady rider Hollie Doyle, he easily won a 1000m maiden but faded when tried in a 1200m Goodwood handicap last time.
2 Contactless Will need to improve significantly on his two starts so far if he is to have any chance here. Led briefly at Nottingham last time before being brushed aside.
3 Costa Adeje Placed on each of his last four starts, showing speed each time and only just beaten by a subsequent winner at Chester two starts back.
4 Cotai Class Probably the worst of his three starts was here last month. He did better when second at Ayr last time, leading for much of the way.
5 Dandy Dinmont Probably best on a fast surface judging by his best run, a narrow defeat over 1200m at Thirsk in June.
6 Ever Given One of the main players here, given that he has won three of his five starts, including at this trip. Also a good fourth in a similar race to this at Naas this month.
7 Green Team Whilst he never looked like winning a maiden at Haydock on last month’s debut, it was a quite encouraging run and the form of that race has worked out very well since.
8 International Boy Though never looking like reaching the front-running winner he ran a good second here and may well have encountered a well handicapped rival when also second last time.
9 Korker All his four starts and his two wins have come over 1000m. Chances if 1200m suits as he was very dominant in a Thirsk novices’ event on his latest start.
10 Mojomaker Several of his runs would put him right in contention including a 6l front-running victory at Sandown, and second in a Listed race there. No problem expected with 1200m.
11 Monsieur Jumbo Came close to a first-time-out victory on fast ground at Ayr in June, but less good in two starts on slower ground since. The stable have won this before.
12 Oh Herberts Reign From a stable with a formidable record in this valuable event. Rallying to finish second in a decent recent 1400m maiden at Newbury, much his best run.
13 Perfect Glory Probably gradually improving and at least has some experience of this course and distance but fading at the end when third of five here last month.
14 Red Power After three good runs – including a front-running victory at Ayr – he was fancied to win a handicap here but disappointed maybe because he got upset in the gate.
15 Shaladar Has been running quite well including when second over this trip on fast ground last time, his first run since being gelded. Cheekpieces are fitted today.
16 Smullen Went close to winning – including at this trip – on both his second and third starts. Taken to Naas for a valuable event he started at huge odds, but he ran well, only beaten 2.5l.
17 System From a stable who have done so well in this. Beat some group class rivals on her second start and not beaten far in an Ascot G3 last time. One of the serious ones here.
18 Texas Man Well beaten in two of his three starts, and didn’t do much better in the other one. Hard to fancy.
19 Three Dons Possibly ran his best race at Epsom, though didn’t look ideally suited by that tricky track. Faded out of contention disappointingly last time.
20 Wings Of War Improved on his second start when moving up to this trip and leading from the gate to gain a convincing victory over six rivals at Nottingham.
21 Atomic Lady The big plus is that she has already won over this course and distance. May have been excuses – running on an unfavoured part of the track – at Musselburgh last time.
22 Symphony Perfect A firm ground Bath winner but his best run came when only narrowly beaten in a valuable 22-runner sprint at Newbury. Stable’s runners always respected in this race.
