2000m – Turf
Agnes Liberty |
Last win in early 2018. Has come close to finishing in money on several occasions but 2000m is a stretch. But, returning after 3.5-month off, age, marks against him. |
Ailes Brave |
Both wins over Hanshin 2000m, including last out on 14 March. Course suits. Early speed. Improvement expected. Promising but needs right trip. |
Hiruno Dakar |
Big 5-year-old finishes consistently in or close to the money. Is 8-2 in two Hanshin runs this year. Best results over 1800m recently, but could easily make top three. Looking good in work. |
Le Lien |
Five finishes in top three. Is primed with 14 March run over Hanshin 1800m following 4.5-month layoff. Finished 7th with 44lbs gain. Has maintained condition. Improvement expected. |
Lily Montreux |
Finished in last place here last year. Has failed to make money in last 11 starts since summer of 2019. Finished 11th last out 20 March after layoff. Not promising. |
Nihonpiro Scuro |
4-year-old gelding raced regularly since December 2020. Last 4 starts were 6-2-1-4, all over 1800m. First time at distance. Has yet to make money in recent 4 starts at Hanshin, including last raced 14 March. Could do well with right trip. |
Sainte Rose |
Big Ritto-based filly with only 3 starts. Won easily last out 6 Feb over Chukyo 2000m returning from 5-month layoff. First time at Hanshin, but is 1-7 racing to right. 121lbs lightest of field but her highest yet. Brilliant turn of foot. |
Vent Vert City |
Miho-based gelding with 3 finishes in top three in career 25 starts. Has failed to make money in 9 starts since last win. Ran fourth over Nakayama 2000m last out 20 March. First time at Hanshin. Could surprise with right trip. |
Victor Barows |
Colt with 5 of 8 starts in money. Raced primarily to left but is 7-4 at Nakayama. Returning from 3-month layoff, but trackwork lacking. Could do well amid this lineup. |
