1600m – Turf
| 1 | Loyalty Man | Had been racing in a higher grade and appreciated the drop back in class when he raced on the speed and held on well for 3rd. Is weighted highly but can run a good race. |
| 2 | Destroyer Eclipse | On speed runner who showed speed and weakened badly when fresh up two weeks ago behind Minister. Will be suited by the rise in trip and look for improvement. |
| 3 | Tesoro Privado | On speed runner who is struggling to recapture his best form. Raced handy but gave little last run and is hard to recommend. |
| 4 | Churchill | Resumed with a massive win when trapped five wide the entire trip over 1200m on the Polytrack and drew away to score impressively. Has trialled well since. Hard to beat. |
| 5 | Mat Smart | Former Malaysia galloper who failed to show up at his Singapore debut and needs it easier. |
| 6 | Heliosphere | Has ability but has issues and was reported to be a roarer several times now. Last start was slow away and settled back but failed to run on. Is struggling to find form. |
| 7 | Dicton | Handy stayer who resuming and did not do much in a recent trial but could sprint well fresh. |
| 8 | Inherit | Dropped back to Class 4 and outclassed his rivals with an easy win when he travelled wide but drew away to score. Rises back to Class 3 and this looks tougher. |
| 9 | Glasgow | Disappointed at his return run behind Pax Animi and has been struggling for a while. Hard to recommend. |
| 10 | Vittoria Perfetta | Was ridden quietly last start and failed to produce anything. Previously showed speed in his races but appears one paced. Watch for race tactics announcement. |
| 11 | Star Jack | Failed to show up at his return start two weeks ago when he weakened noticeably in the straight. Has never won second-up from a break. |
| 12 | Luck Of Master | Won twice in Class 4 races before showing he can measure up to this class with a solid 4th place effort last start, when he ran the fastest final 400m of the race. Value chance. |
| 13 | So Hi Class | Ridden perfectly when winning a much easier race last start and will find this class much tougher. Place at best. |
| 14 | Adipson | Handy five-year-old who gets back and charges home in his races. Did not have much luck last start when finishing 8th place and he can play a part in the finish here. |

| 15 | Buddy Buddy | Has early speed and should be near the lead but hard to see him troubling these. |
| 16 | Wind Trail | Has always shown ability but disappointed at his return when 14th to Minister. Should be fitter and can improve. |
