1200m – Turf

1 Unconquered Has changed stables during the break and also drops to Class 4 where he is a two-time winner from three. Looked well in a recent trial and appears one to follow first-up.
2 Headhunter Ran an encouraging third at his local debut 21 days ago, closing off the fourth fastest in the race. Has to be considered a chance to be in the finish again based on that.
3 Diamonds Has been well-beaten in recent five starts to date and big improvement is needed. Others are preferred.
4 Atlas Has shown good ability with two wins from four starts to date and resumes off a likeable, quiet trial. Badly held up at his last race start 154 days ago and looks a good chance here.
5 Leading Cellist Capable type who can surprise at big odds. Last start’s seventh placing was better than it reads after he copped a check at the 400m.
6 Rise Of Empire Last seen finishing eighth as the even money favourite when having his first start in Class 4 after exiting maiden company. Looked well in a recent trial and has more to come.
7 Amore Amore Led all the way to score in maiden company two starts ago and resumes off a handy trial for his return. Keep safe here and consider in exotic bets.
8 Admiral Winston Won with plenty in hand in a Class 5 1000m on the Polytrack last start and this will prove tougher. Can be erratic but has ability. Certainly not out of it.
9 Winning Hobby Has shown ability in eight career starts to date but it’s hard to get a gauge of how he’s going leading into his first-up run after two extremely quiet trials. Betting market best guide.
10 Black Quail

A fast beginner who is never far away in the finish and will give some cheek on the lead. Yet to win in the grade from 13 attempts but has placed three times.
11 Charming Diamond

Showed little in his first-up run over this distance and may be better suited in Class 5 company. Respect the betting however and keep safe should a push come for him.
12 Elise Likes to jump and run and will be hard up on the pace, however he may be susceptible over concluding stages. Place claims at best.
13 Mr Fat Kiddy

Remains an 11-start maiden but boasts a respectable eight placings to his name. Bled last start and is back from a break, which does pose questions.
14 Resolution Led and gave a good sight as favourite first-up over 1200m 36 days ago, fading late into fourth. Looks a chance but each-way claims are preferred.
  Reserves
15 Voluntad Unplaced in four local starts to date and would need a big improvement to feature. Others are preferred.
16 Silkardo Unsuited here and needs it easier. Looks better suited in weaker company.
