1400m – Turf
Buon Voyage |
Filly showing improvement this spring. Moving up in class after a neck win at Kyoto in late-May. Best over 6 furlongs but has ample chance. |
Egremni |
Good speed and proven at distance at class below. Best performance a 1.3L 3rd in the Listed Marguerite Stakes (1200m) in February. Could surprise if this trip suits. |
Hush Go Go |
Highly consistent filly with excellent speed. 2-4-2 in last three starts, all over 1400m. Returning from 4-month spell. |
Kurino Ariel |
Won 6 on dirt after transferred to NAR circuit in 2018. Moved back to JRA last summer for a turf win over 1800m last September. Good late speed. |
Lugar Santo |
Broke maiden over Hanshin 1400m last September. Went wire to wire last out in May over Kyoto 1400m a class below. Speed decent but move up in class may be tough. |
Meisho Titan |
Good early speed. Excitable in the G1 NHK Mile Cup in May latest but should fare better at this level. Both wins over Hanshin 1400m. Ample chance. |
Plus |
Lacklustre in his 2019 campaign, best a 3rd under similar conditions last September. This will be her second start this year. Trackwork sufficient. Good speed. |
Sensho Yuto |
Well beaten in last 4 starts. Lacks speed. Likely not a contender. |
Skip |
Has made board in last four starts, including win at this distance at Chukyo in March. Experienced at Hanshin. Improvement expected from last start early this month. |
Super Feather |
Raced primarily over 10 furlongs and up, also G2-placed over 2400m as a 3YO. Given his first start shorter than 1800m. Last start a month ago and current racing style could translate to success at this distance. |
Twinkle Leaf |
Strong filly primarily raced over dirt, with all 3 wins over 1400m. Starts on turf for the first time since unsuccessful grass outing in summer 2019. Wild card. |
Walk The Line |
Had success on dirt but little over grass. Good late speed but likely not a contender. |
