G1 – 1600m – Turf
| Accidental Agent | The shock winner of this race in 2018 but refused to race in last year’s version and he will be an outsider here. Best on fast ground. |
| Bless Him | Doesn’t look to have enough class to win this but he clearly likes Ascot’s straight 1600m, coming from last to first to win a good to firm ground handicap here in 2019. |
| Circus Maximus | Dropping him back to this distance has been key according to his trainer, and he won a G1 over the round 1594m here a year ago. Wants a strong pace. Good chance. |
| Duke Of Hazzard | Highly progressive in the second part of 2019, winning consecutively a Listed event, a G3 and a G2 – all at this trip. Has gears and stable in good form. |
| Escobar | Usually takes a few races to hit top gear each season so will probably struggle. He did come from last to first to win a handicap over this straight mile last year. |
| Fox Chairman | Lightly raced but improved race by race in 2019, decisively winning a 2000m Listed contest at Newbury when last seen. Wants slow ground. |
| Marie’s Diamond | Has group winning form over shorter distances but looked at home over 1600m when leading throughout and winning easily in Listed company at Newmarket this month. |
| Mohaather | Seems best on a straight track, twice winning G3’s over 1400m at Newbury. Not yet proven at this trip but should last it if the ground is not slow. |
| Mustashry | A versatile and talented gelding though he never threatened to win this race last year. Prior to that was a G1 winner over this trip at Newbury. |
| Plumatic | Has some high class winning form over this trip, and, on his first start for this trainer, just found one rival too strong in a Chantilly G3 last month. |
| Roseman | Lightly raced and yet to run a poor race, closing down 2019 with a comfortable 1600m Listed win at Newmarket. Best on slow ground. |
| Skardu | A G3 winner on his first 2019 start and then ran consistently well in high class company including in a G1 here. Good or fast ground ideal. |
| Space Traveller | Came with a sustained surge from the back to win a 1400m G3 at this meeting last year. Proved he stays 1600m with a G2 Leopardstown win. |
| Turjomaan | A big galloping horse whose trainer thinks will be ideally suited by this test. Injuries have restricted his career but he’s reportedly in great shape now. |
| Billesdon Brook | A really talented mare who has twice won G1’s over 1600m at Newmarket. Tough, she races prominently and is hard to pass when on her game. |
| Terebellum | Twice a G2 winner during a light career, latterly when accelerating too well for classy opposition over 2000m at Newmarket this month. Drops down in distance. |
