MSS Security Sprint (Always Welcome Stakes) – Form Comments

Listed – 1200m – Turf

Royal Symphony Impressive in first two seasons of racing but not raced since 6.1 lengths 4th to Winx in the 2017 Cox Plate due to tendon injuries. All runs have been on good tracks. Twice won fresh. Unbeaten at Flemington. Could surprise.
Tactical Advantage Ran on well when 2.4 lengths 5th to Miss Leonidas in Caulfield Sprint (1000m) on 19 October. Looking for 1200m now. OK all conditions.
Haunted All recent runs sound and rarely misses first three finish. Latest was 0.5 lengths win from Parsifal in Caulfield Village Stakes (1200m) on 16 October. Proven down straight. Handles wet.
Milwaukee Not raced since August when 3.9 lengths 5th to So Si Bon in Aurie’s Star Handicap (1200m) at this track. Raced six times this course and distance for three wins and two seconds. Capable fresh and all track conditions.
Intuition Ran OK when 3.5 lengths 7th to Miss Leonidas in Caulfield Sprint (1000m) on 19 October. Extra distance suits and has won down straight course. Probably best on dry.
Parsifal Racing well. Ran 0.5 lengths 2nd to Haunted at Caulfield (1200m) on 16 October before 1.25 lengths win from Runson in Moonee Valley 1200m Handicap on 25 October. Performed well both starts down straight course. Handles wet and dry.
Runson Front-runner who set fast pace and overhauled late when 1.25 lengths 2nd to Parsifal in Moonee Valley 1200m Handicap on 25 October. Third to Osborne Bulls in Group 2 sprint down straight 1200m course last spring. Best on firm ground.
Torgersen Resumes for new trainer. Not raced since August when unplaced at 1630m at Doomben. Unplaced in eight previous fresh runs. Won on good and soft.
Crown Fontein On speed runner who hasn’t raced since July when 2.4 lengths 6th to Malibu Style at this course and distance. Proven fresh record and capable on good and rain affected ground.
Smart Coupe Impressed with 1.25 lengths win from Gina’s Hope in Geelong 1200m Fillies and Mares Listed race on 23 October. Proven down the straight. Best form generally on good ground but has won on soft.
Holbien Fitter for first-up run which was better than it looks – finishing 2.9 lengths last of five behind Fine Dane in Moonee Valley 955m Handicap on 26 October. Has good record second-up and has performed well down straight course. OK wet or dry.
Lagerfeld On pace runner kept fresh since strong nose win from Legend Of Condor in Moonee Valley 1200m Handicap on 27 September. Ran well at only previous appearance on the straight course. Going well with his runs spaced. Capable all conditions.
More Than Exceed Front-runner with three wins, two seconds from past five starts. Latest was one length win from Exalted Trail in Morphettville 1200m Benchmark 75 Handicap on 12 October. Capable all conditions but especially good on soft ground.
