Jim Beam Stakes (Maybe Mahal Stakes) – Form Comments

G3 – 1400m – Turf

Jamaican Rain Caught wide on speed when 4.3 lengths 8th to Savatiano in Caulfield 1400m Tristarc Stakes on 19 October. That was first run since June. Capable all conditions but very best form on soft ground.
Teleplay Unusually ridden on speed and faded late when 4.7 lengths 10th to Savatiano in Caulfield 1400m Tristarc Stakes on 19 October. Ran third to Jamaican Rain this class and distance in February. Handles good and soft ground.
Bella Martini Same throughout when 5.4 lengths 12th to Savatiano in Caulfield 1400m Tristarc Stakes on 19 October. Best form on good ground but has one win on rain affected going. Gr 1 placed at 1200m earlier in the year.
Sweet Scandal Ran well, at second run this season, when 1.75 lengths 3rd to Tofane in Caulfield 1200m Northwood Plume Stakes on 12 October. Extra distance no issue and capable all conditions.
King’s Brook Below best at first run this season when 6.1 lengths 10th to Tofane in Caulfield 1200m Northwood Plume Stakes on 12 October. Likely improver this track where has won twice at course and distance. Proven on good and soft ground. Won four of seven on soft.
River Jewel Raced on speed and held on well when one length 2nd to La Tigeresa in Moe 1200m Benchmark 78 Handicap (heavy ground) on 17 October. Consistent all conditions. Not won at 1400m but placed four of eight attempts.
Into The Abyss Easy winner at this distance at Warwick Farm (soft ground) on 7 October before solid effort when 1.3 lengths 3rd to Smart Coupe in Geelong 1200m Listed race on 23 October. OK on good to soft ground.
La Tigeresa Finished too well when one length winner from River Jewel in Moe 1200m Benchmark 78 Handicap (heavy ground) on 17 October. Rise in distance and has no concerns with track conditions.
Victory Kingdom Slow to begin when 2.8 lengths 8th to Humma Humma in Caulfield 1100m Alinghi Stakes on 19 October. Runner-up only previous 1400m run. Handles wet and dry. Moreira booked.
Dunbrody Power Racing consistently well on wet and dry tracks. Finished too well when 0.8 lengths winner from Commute in Warwick Farm 1200m Benchmark 70 Handicap on 23 October. Placed only attempt at 1400m.
Miss Belisa Raced handy and battled on OK when 2.6 lengths 4th to Gennady in Sale 1200m Benchmark 70 Handicap on 27 October. Has won at 1400m and step up in trip should suit now. OK all conditions.
Gina’s Hope Finished strongly, from last, when 1.25 lengths 2nd to Smart Couple in Geelong 1200m Listed race on 23 October. OK wet or dry and ready for step up in distance.
