| 11 | Holbien | Fitter for first-up run which was better than it looks – finishing 2.9 lengths last of five behind Fine Dane in Moonee Valley 955m Handicap on 26 October. Has good record second-up and has performed well down straight course. OK wet or dry. |
| 12 | Lagerfeld | On pace runner kept fresh since strong nose win from Legend Of Condor in Moonee Valley 1200m Handicap on 27 September. Ran well at only previous appearance on the straight course. Going well with his runs spaced. Capable all conditions. |
| 13 | More Than Exceed | Front-runner with three wins, two seconds from past five starts. Latest was one length win from Exalted Trail in Morphettville 1200m Benchmark 75 Handicap on 12 October. Capable all conditions but especially good on soft ground. |
