1800m – Dirt
Black Halo |
Ran 1st, 4th and 2nd from 3 career starts. Won debut over Nakayama 1800m. Finished 2nd last out over Niigata 1800m in July. Excellent speed. Travels close to pace. |
Bold Spartan |
Won once over course and distance from 7 career starts. Running for the first time this year after spelled for 9 months. Best an 8th place finish in last 5 starts. Not promising. |
Dead Ahead |
Broke maiden last out in Fukushima 1700m in July on third start, first since being moved to dirt. Missed break but moved nicely up outside for strong win by 3 lengths. Early days but definitely worth a wager. |
Destroy |
Three wins from 36 career starts but started only 4 times since moving back to JRA from the regional NAR circuit. Ran 4th in Nakayama 1800m on 8 September, before 9th last out on 15 September over the same conditions. Likely outclassed. |
Hai Cheese |
Won once and placed once, both from the regional NAR circuit, from 18 career starts. Has 5 previous starts over 1700m-1800m dirt with best a 7th-place finish in July. Travels from off pace. Not a contender. |
Laurier Tesoro |
One win and one third, both over Nakayama 1800m, from 6 career starts. Ran 6th at the course and distance last out after 5-month layoff. Lost momentum when horse ahead tripped coming into stretch. Better run may help but lacks speed. |
Max Un |
Has made board in 7 starts since moving to dirt. Neck 2nd behind winner last out in Nakayama 1800m on 8 September. Chronically late out of gate, but has excellent speed, late kick. Can handle heavy track. Likely favourite. |
Sakura Rufen |
One win and three placings, all over the course and distance, from 6 career starts. Last out a good 2nd on 14 September after 3-month layoff. Often runs on pace, can lead. Good late speed. |
Sea Route |
Raced predominately over 1700m to 1800m in 13 career starts. Has not won since debut win. Did post 2nd in a 1700m in Fukushima in June, but well beaten in two recent starts. Lacks speed. Not promising. |
Sei Valiant |
One win and four placings from 10 career starts. Broke maiden over Nakayama 1800m in January. Racing for first time in 3 months. Races from far off pace with good late speed. Return to Nakayama could bring results, but not promising. |
