1200m – Turf

Ago Bay

Returns to the scene of her second career win earlier this month when she raced over 1200m for the first time. All of her sprint attempts have landed her in the money so expect her to be there at the end.

Good Jewelry

Last won back in April in the Ioji Tokubetsu at Fukushima going 1200m. She was 5th in her last outing, also at Fukushima on yielding turf.

Higher Apsis

A winner back in July in Hakodate, but followed that up with an 8th place finish when she was moved up in class.

Kawakita Pirka

This six-year-old has not placed since winning a 1200m allowance last year in July.

Marmalade Girl

Has had a decent summer. She finished second in one allowance before winning another just twenty days later at Sapporo. Only ran 6th in her August start but she ran back at Nakayama to finish a close third in a 1200m race last time.

Ojono Kiseki

This filly has not placed since February 2018.

Pikapika

A winner in her last outing earlier this month, it is important to note that it was over the 1000m straight course at Niigata. Both of her career wins have been over 1000m.

Seiun Ririshii

Has not had a good year to date, running out of the money five times before finally getting up to place second in his last outing. However, the filly has not won since August of 2018.

Seizinger

A winner last time out going 1200m at Kokura, ending a six race dry spell.

Shigeru Bengaltora

Has been on and off the board many times over the past four years and claimed his third win back in January going 1200m over the dirt.

Shisei Hiten

Despite winning a 1600m allowance at Nakayama back in January, he has been running over sprint distances ever since. He has finished second twice in two other tokubetsu races and third once. His two worst performances were over 1400m but all three placings took place over 1200m, including one at Nakayama.

Shisei Taiga

Has benefited greatly from shortening down from 1600m to 1400m and 1200m this year, finishing no worse than 5th in six starts in 2019 and winning twice. He was 2nd in a 1200m sprint at Nakayama in September.

Taisei Avenir

His last win was over the 1200m course at Nakayama, however it was back in 2017. After a string of rather poor performances he seems to be regaining some form, having finished second three times in a row early this spring. He will be coming off a layoff but seems to possibly be improving.

Tomboy

Has not hit the board since the end of last year despite having seven tries. She was fourth in her last outing in August going 1200m at Kokura.

Unlimit

Worse than second only once in her eight starts she will be running at Nakayama for the first time. All of her previous starts and wins have been over 1400m so this will also be her first time going 1200m.

Voluspa

She likes a little give to the ground so the potential rain on Sunday could help this Lord Kanaloa filly get up for her third career win.
