Can run from any position and has been consistently successful on both fast and slightly yielding ground. |

| Kanetoshi Vivace | 7-year-old mare has 15 races in the top three spots over 1200-1400m, including her last 17 starts all at this level. Finished fourth last out on 3 March and would have done better if she had had a smoother trip. |
| Meisho Bonroku | 7-year-old surprised last out by winning over Nakayama 1200m on 11 March. That was the first win in 15 starts after moving up in level. This will be first time at this level. Prefers heavy going. |
| Meisho Orso | 5-year-old dropped to NAR local races, returned to JRA circuit after three straight wins. Is moving up to this level for the first time. Ran second in 1400m maiden at Hanshin as 3-year-old. Likely outclassed. |
| Meisho Sachishio | Sure to be popular pick, 4-year-old filly moved from turf from last summer and has 3 wins and 2 seconds from six starts, four of them over 1400m, including a win last out on 18 March over 1400m at Hanshin at level lower. Leads or runs in second position. Proven over all going. |
| Merry Tone | Miho-based 5-year-old mare ran fifth after moving up to this class, then returned after 2 months off to run fourth in Kyoto 1400m. First time at Hanshin. Raced primarily to left, but did break maiden at right-handed Nakayama. Good late speed. |
| T M Goodman | 4-year-old colt looks to be out of slump through year-end from last summer. This year has scored 5-1-3 in three starts, all at 1400m. On 3 March, moved to this class for the first time and had perfect run to finish third. Promising. |
| Tamamo Eleven | Has not made board since moving up to this class in February of last year. Unplaced in seven of last eight starts. Out of league. |
| Thrilla In Manila | Taking on this level for the first time from back-to-back wins, first wins since December 2015. Only 3rd time at Hanshin, but has been successful racing to right. Has yet to win at 1400m, but looks to be on up and up. |
| Tokei Waraukado | 5-year-old raced predominately in 1700-1800m range won when moved to 1400m a class lower at Kyoto at end of January. Moved up to this level on 3 March and finished 11th. Likely outclassed. |
| Two M Meister | 6-year-old has been given mix of dirt and turf races primarily at 1400m. Did well as 4-year-old at lower class but has finished out of top three in 5 starts since moving to this class. Not promising. |
| Yoraifuku | 6-year-old gelding has turned in five straight double-digit finishes since moving to this level. Seems to have hit wall. |
