2000m – Turf

Agnes Liberty 16 starts between 1600m and 2600m with two wins over 1800m and 2000m. First win was a maiden race over 1800m at Hakodate on a soft track in July, 2016. Smart 5th in a middle-class stakes race over 2400m at his latest run on 11 March, but 2000m on a right-handed course should be more suitable. No track worries. Hold-up runner.
Citron One win from 34 starts, 22 on turf – that sole victory came on the grass in June, 2015. Returns to the turf for the first time since October. Has handled dirt as well, while the softer track won’t bother him. Races from back.
Hot Fire Two wins from 31 starts mainly between 1400m to 2600m. Finished well for 4th in a middle-class stakes race (2000m) in February and 4th again at the same level over 2000m on 11 March latest. Hold-up runner. No ground issues.
Maruka Brisk Two wins from 19 starts between 1600m and 2600m. Won a maiden race over 1800m over rain-affected turf in June, 2016. Clocked the fastest time over the last 600m and won a 2000m allowance race at Hanshin in February latest. Missed the board only once at Hanshin. Has potent closing speed. No track concerns.
Misuzu Dandy Five wins from 44 starts between 1400m and 2200m. Likes a fast track but is adaptable, handling the dirt at NAR level. Finished poorly in his most recent 6 starts but smart 3rd over 2000m at Sapporo last September. Hold-up runner but can sit close to speed.
Monde Chat Luna Three wins from 34 starts between 1400m and 2400m. Won a novice race over 2000m on a soft track in October, 2013. Finished last over 2000m at Hanshin latest but finished well for 3rd in a similar race two back. Likely to be better second-up. Hold-up runner. No ground concerns.
Satono Grand Two wins from 13 starts between 1600m and 2400m. Won a maiden race over 1800m at his 7th start last May and followed up with a 2000m allowance win at his next start. Below-par but not far from the winners in three starts at Hanshin, finishing midfield each time. Races from the back. No ground concerns.
Stillwater Two JRA wins from 18 starts from 1400m to 2600m on turf. Transferred to NAR at 3 and took 2 consecutive wins at Kasamatsu. Returned to JRA in December 2016 and has only disappointed once, in a middle-class stakes race (2400m) last start, from 11 starts. Renowned for a speedy last 600m. The drop to 2000m will be to her advantage. No track worries.
