1200m – Turf

Akhira
Won over straight course and 5 furlongs. Last two runs not promising. Return to right-handed Nakayama a plus but likely outclassed.

Believer
Started out with two third-placings before winning on her third start. A jump to the open class proved too much too soon. Her last start in a lower class saw her able to settle better and bring home a 4th. Likely outclassed here.

Gismonda
No success over past five starts. Tough schedule. Likely not fresh.

Icefjord
Broke maiden last out on fifth try, but came close in all previous starts. Can run from any position and over any going. Has experience at Nakayama. First time at 1200m. Likely needs an extra furlong.

Last Prima Donna
Broke maiden last time out in second start. Still immature, keen in early stages. Settled nicely by jockey. Good speed and promising at 6 furlongs.

Meikei Die Hard
Big-striding Ritto-based colt just broke maiden at Chukyo over 6 furlongs on third start. First time at Nakayama. First time to eastern Japan. May need more room to manoeuvre than what Nakayama’s 1200m offers.

Nishino Asuka
Only second race of career. Won debut handily with nice speed on 2 December under same conditions. Will carry 7lb more this time.

Passe
Won debut at 6 furlongs and showed excellent speed to finish only 1.5 lengths off winner in G3 second start. Best result in last three starts an 8th place. Has experience at same conditions. Ran at mile at G3 level last out. Finished last. Not promising, but return to open class and 6 furlongs a plus.

Peisha Luas
Likely favorite. Two for six but was disqualified to second once for interference. After breaking maiden ran 6th in G3, won in open class and back to another 6th last out in G3 over 1400m. Can run from any position. Has good late speed and experience over Nakayama 1200m.

Regle d’Or
Ritto-based filly. Jumped from debut win to open class. One more win and second. Jump to G3 and G1 level proved too much, as did 8 furlongs. Return to 6 furlongs a plus. First time at Nakayama. First long haul to racetrack.

Rinshankaiho
Now with one win, two seconds. Early speed, good overall speed. Ran second last out on 30 September under same conditions.

Ryuno Yukina
Successful on dirt and turf. Said to be better on turf. Excellent speed. Raced predominately at 5 to 6 furlongs with success in open class. Based in Hokkaido on local NRA circuit. Disadvantaged by trip to Nakayama unless shipped in early.

Sontaku
Has yet to break maiden in six starts, predominately at 6 furlongs and last two at Nakayama. Not promising.

Taisei Pride
Ritto-based colt won open class over 7 furlongs on second start. Finished 8th at G2 level last time out after spell. Improvement expected, but first time racing to right. Has experience in eastern Japan.

Tosen Epona
One win in eight starts, 2nd race on JRA circuit and 2nd race on turf. Last out finished 4.5 lengths off winner at same conditions in lower-class race. Improvement likely.
