1200m – Dirt

Champagne Saber
5-year-old mare has two seconds and one third from last three starts, in 1150m-1200m range. Finished second by neck in dead heat with other horse last out on 3 December in Nakayama 1200m. Good late speed.

Danon Eagle
3-year-old colt finally broke maiden in September on 11th start over Nakayama 1200m. Last out first time at this class finished 12th over 1300m at Tokyo. Traveled well but lost balance when other horse came up on outside. Lacked power in final stage. Results may improve with better trip.

Earth Vigorous
3-year-old filly winless since 12 starts ago. Last out finished fifth, 3.3 lengths off winner under same conditions. Speed has been poor. Unsettled before races. Last start jockey kept her calmer before race. May see improvement this time out.

Hikari Top Memory
Promising 4-year-old filly has 2 wins, 1 second and 3 thirds from 10 starts, including third in class above in May over Niigata 1200m. Has two wins over Nakayama 1200m, five starts at venue, all but one in money. Trip didn’t suit last out 3 November. Very promising.

Iza
4-year-old colt with four seconds over 1200m dirt, three at Nakayama. Returned stronger from spring last out for 10th-place finish at Niigata over sloppy track. Has had hard workouts since. Improvement expected, but running under top weight of 126 lb.

Jet Corsa
5-year-old returned to dirt for last two races in June, both over Tokyo 1300m. Raced from behind with decent acceleration but failed to gain sufficient ground. Finished in fourth and fifth. Won once, placed once over Nakayama 1200m as 3-year-old. Returning from 6 1/2-month layoff. Has gotten good marks for recent workouts.

Kashino Earning
4-year-old with only one win and one third in 24 starts. Best in last 11 starts a 7th-place finish. Not a contender.

Oken Bright
3-year-old filly with only four career starts. Won once at local track, other three races saw double-digit finishes. Not a contender.

Only Tomorrow
3-year-old filly raced in 1400m-1,800m range. Switched to dirt last out on fifth career start to finish third by just over 1/2 length at Chukyo over 1400m despite poor start. Had to cover extra ground with wide draw. Improvement expected if conditions suit this time out. Travels in forward position. First time at Nakayama but has raced to right before. Will run under only 112 lb same as last start.

Princess Line
3-year-old filly started on JRA circuit, moved to local race after two double-digit finishes over left-handed Niigata track. Performed well at right-handed Saga track with 2 wins and a second. Now returning to JRA. First time at Nakayama. Unknown but speed has been decent and racing to right suits.

Ren’s Full Power
5-year-old with only one win, 7 other starts in money in 22 career starts. Returned in July for three starts after near 8-month layoff with best a fifth over Niigata 1200m. Last out 3 November finished 13th as race second pick over Kyoto 1400m. Seems fine in recent work. First time at Nakayama. Big horse likely not suited to venue.

Seiun Ocean
Experienced 5-year-old returning after 5-month layoff. Was promising as 3-year-old but recent results inconsistent. Did finish third over Nakayama 1200m in April. Last start at end July resulted in 12th-place finish but drew wide and was unable to get cover. Only average speed.

Shine Vite
3-year-old with impressive record of all but 2 starts of 10 in money. One win, 5 seconds and 2 thirds. Raced almost exclusively at 1200m with six starts over Nakayama 1200m. Forced wide last out on 3 December but finished in dead heat with other horse in second place. Can handle any going. Good speed. Improvement expected.

Show Cool
4-year-old colt has not won since August 2016. Been raced mostly in 1600m-1800m range. Best results in last 9 starts were at local tracks, others double-digit finishes. Only one start at 1200m, finished 10th on 23 September at Nakayama over heavy going. Started career a frontrunner, but traveled from behind in last 6 starts with poor speed. Not a contender.

Taiki Marron
4-year-old filly has only win, one third in 15 starts. Best over Nakayama 1200m a fifth. Not promising.

Three Minerva
3-year-old filly finished third in Nakayama 1200m maiden race in April. Won last out in June at local Monbetsu track. Has been getting solid workouts, but returning from 6 1/2-month layoff.
