Versatile galloper who hasn’t won for nearly a year. Had been thereabouts before finishing third in the Toorak Handicap, beaten 1.1L, at huge odds when he drew wide and settled well back. Is entitled to be back in calculations.

Showed good improvement first-up with new trainer when finished second, beaten 1.75L, in a Listed Flemington race (1400m) earlier this month. Hasn’t won for a long time and while the rise in distance is ideal, this is tough.

Finished second, beaten 0.1L in the Toorak Handicap (1600m). Already a winner of nine races from 12 starts, he is a tenacious galloper who usually wins or loses by less than 1L. Has the right credentials to win this.

Dual G1 winner in New Zealand who excels on heavy ground. It appears she’ll need conditions to suit to knock off the top fancies.

Lightly-raced New Zealand raider who hasn’t been out of the money in her 10 races. Made one previous trip to Australia in March when she won the G1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m). Is high quality.
