The Hong Kong Jockey Club purchased one smooth moving colt out of the recent Craven Breeze Up Sale 2023 in Great Britain for a total outlay of GNS260,000 (approx. HK$2,656,000).

Lot 36 was the sole purchase for the Club, a bay colt by Siyouni, who is best known as the sire of five-time Group 1 winner St Mark’s Basilica as well as 2020 G1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (2400m) winner Sottsass. While in Hong Kong, Leading Fortune – a seven-time winner at Sha Tin – is his top progeny.

The youngster is the first foal out of the mare Reticent Angel, who placed at Listed Stakes level at Sandown in Great Britain.
