G3 – 2500m – Turf
Adhafera |
A filly who has improved for the adoption of waiting tactics and has finished very well to be second in a Listed race over 2100m and a G2 over 2400m, both at Longchamp. Looks ready to go close again and is a leading contender. |
Burgarita |
Carries the single strongest piece of form having finished third in G1 Prix de Diane over 2100m. Also finished in front of some key rivals when winning a Listed race over 2200m and her respected trainer expect her to improve at this longer distance. Likely favourite. |
Citronnade |
Seemed an improved filly after a short break, with two wins in Ireland. Last start was in handicap company but she should not be underestimated, especially if the ground turns soft. |
Free Wind |
Has progressed through the ranks quite quickly in Britain and was only just beaten in a Listed race at Newmarket over 2400m. She has yet to race on soft ground but with a favourable weather forecast looks to have place chances. |
Jannah Flower |
Built on two solid efforts in maiden races to win a Listed race over 2100m at Longchamp in June. She looks open to further improvement but must prove she is effective at this longer trip. |
Ricla |
Battled well to only be beaten a length by Thunder Drum in a G3 over 2400m at Chantilly in June. Consistent since, with a Listed win and a third placed effort in G2, both at Longchamp. Place chances. |
Sayyida |
Only narrowly beaten in a Newmarket Listed race over 2400m last month and looks to be progressing. Her trainer has a good overall record when sending horses to Deauville. |
Thunder Drum |
Only had one maiden win to her name before taking a major step forward when stepped up in distance and grade in a Chantilly G3 over 2400m. That was on soft ground. Her in-form trainer won his third G1 of the season here last Sunday. |
Weetamoo |
Could not match the pace of Burgarita in a Longchamp Listed race over 2200m. Two wins since over 2400m in minor races and the trip looks likely to suit. |
