The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting eight races from the NHK Mile Cup Day meeting at Tokyo Racecourse, Japan, on Sunday (9 May).
Racing returns to Japan’s capital track this month with five consecutive weeks of Grade One racing beginning with the NHK Mile Cup (G1 1600m for 3yo colts and fillies). The race was inaugurated in 1996 and has seen a number of future Derby winners and top milers emerging victorious from this three-year-old contest.
The eight races to be simulcast from Japan are:
S1-1 11:25 am 3yo 1 win (1600m Dirt)
S1-2 11:55 am 4yo and up 1 win (1300m Dirt)
S1-3 12:25 pm 4yo and up 1 win (1400M Turf)
S1-4 12:55 pm 4yo and up 2 wins (2000m Turf)
S1-5 1:25 pm Shonan Stakes (1600m Turf)
S1-6 2:00 pm Brilliant Stakes (Listed 2100m Dirt)
S1-7 2:40 pm NHK Mile Cup (G1 1600m Turf)
S1-8 3:25 pm Tachikawa Tokubetsu (1600m Dirt)
The first race is scheduled for 11:25 a.m. (Hong Kong time).
Final declarations with barriers for the NHK Mile Cup Day races will be available on the afternoon of Saturday (8 May).
