Admire Polaris

Highly consistent, highly successful, with only one start out of money. Last 7 starts have been from 2000m to 2600m with win scored by 4L over Hanshin 2400m last out on 28 February. Did well summering in Hokkaido last year.

Asti

Has had some success with longer distances over past year. Last 5 starts from early November, all at level below, have brought 6-6-1-3-5, the last 2 over Nakayama 2500m. Last raced on 3 April. Speed a bit lacking, but worth a wager.

By My Side

Returned after 10 months off and scored respectable 7th only 3.3L off winner in Tokyo 2400m. Perfect trip. Improvement expected. Ran second by a nose in Nakayama 2500m at this level at end of December 2019. Promising.

Civic Virgo

Has posted 2 double-digit finishes in last 2 starts since moving to JRA racing from NAR ranks. Lacks speed. Not a contender.

Divine Force

Highly consistent stayer with 6 finishes in money, only 2 finishes off board from last 8 starts. Raced predominately over distances 2500m and up. Posted 2-1 this year with 2 starts at Hanshin over 2400m and 2600m. Won in record time last out amid strong pace. Races from rear. Prefers fast track. Distance suits.

Effect On

Veteran stayer with best results at 2400m and up. Made top three in 5 of last 8 starts from begin of 2020. Most recent three starts all at 2200m. Finished 9th last out over Nakayama 2200m on 7 March amid slow pace. Extra distance a plus.

Hiraboku Merlot

Returned on 28 March from 3-month layoff and hard schedule of 13 races in 2020. Faded to finish one off rear in amid rain, over slightly heavy Hanshin 2400m at this level. Improvement expected. Has notched 6 starts in the money over 2600m. One to watch.

Hishi Gekko

Debuted as 3-year-old and streaked to 3 wins, one 3rd over first 4 starts, then struggled over next 4 starts. Return after 7 months on 28 March to post 3rd 1.8L behind winner in Hanshin 2400m. Won debut over Nakayama 2000m, only start at venue. Promising.

Hishi Victory

Finished 2nd in this race last year, capping solid trio over 2200m to 2500m. Distance shortened in 3 starts since to yield lackluster 14-8-7. Last out, responses slow in final turn, failed to advance. Looking refreshed in work. Extra distance a plus. Worth a wager.

Satono Gloire

Sat entire 2019 out, was 4-5 in only 2 starts of 2020. Returned to win Chukyo 2200m in February. Poor results in first start at this level last out on 28 March over Hanshin 2400m. Improvement expected. Finished 2nd in Nakayama 2500m in late 2018. One to watch.

Satono Radius

Has 3 finishes on board in last 5 starts at this level, all over 2400m. Finished 4th only 1.5L behind winner last out over Tokyo 2400m. Returning after 2-month off. Improvement expected. 2nd over Nakayama 2500m in late 2019. Extra distance, return to Nakayama pluses. 

Winner Point

Has best a 6th in last 9 starts at this level, mostly at 2000m-2200m, but also 10th in Nakayama 2500m. Speed lacking. Likely outclassed.
