1200m – Turf
1 | Time Lord | Has previously been declared a roarer and mixes his form. Won over 1400m three starts ago in June, before failing at his next two starts. Returns from a break and trialled nicely leading up to this race, can show up. |
2 | Sir Isaac | Has only scored once over 1200m from 16 attempts and is generally better suited over the shorter trips. Would need a lot of luck. |
3 | Dinghu Mountain | Backs up quickly from last week when he caught the eye running home strongly. Has not won for 525 days and place chances appear best. |
4 | Wassergeist | Has ability but is hard to catch. Won well three starts ago but has failed at his next two starts. Watch betting. |
5 | Star Knight | Has yet to be placed at four starts in Class 3 and needs it easier. Not suited here. |
6 | Street Cry Success | Former Godolphin Australian galloper who has struggled to measure up in Singapore, despite coming in at a lower grade. Needs a big improvement to feature. |
7 | Excelling | Great run last start, when he was beaten by a highly promising galloper in fast time. Is versatile and well weighted and rates as the horse to beat over the 1200m. |
8 | Mr Hooper | Has failed at all four starts in Class 3 has been freshened up since last. Place chance at best. |
9 | Red Dawn | Scored a minor upset win last start when finishing powerfully over this track and distance. Value chance again. |
10 | Robin Hood | Old timer who is struggling to find his best form and hard to recommend in this race. |
11 | Cousteau | Won in easier grade two starts ago before failing in this class last start. Looks tough. |
12 | Gold Star | Consistent galloper who is nicely placed on the minimum and looms a solid winning chance based on current form. |
