Listed – 1400m – Turf
Isole Canarie |
Slogged through deep ground to win a 1600m Listed event in Rome last November. Italian form is currently not strong and she has been soundly beaten in Listed events in Germany and France on her last two starts. Hard to fancy. |
Lucie Manette |
Quite delicate according to her trainer and having taken time to flourish at home this year. However she had shown courage to squeeze between rivals and accelerating nicely to win a Listed contest at Chantilly when last seen, in October 2018. |
Spinning Memories |
Lightly raced, but having won two of her three starts, latterly when quickening nicely to win a Listed event at Saint-Cloud last October. The second placed horse that day went on to win a G2 at Meydan earlier this year, suggesting the form is strong. |
Beauty Filly |
Consistent and adaptable, having raced over shorter and further than this though her two wins came over 1200m – latterly in a handicap at Hamilton last September. The ground was soft then, and that may suit best. Makes her 2019 debut. |
River Cannes |
Seems to thrive on racing and is always kept busy, winning one of her five starts this year surviving a big weight in a handicap over 1300m on Chantilly’s all-weather track in February. Well beaten since and likely to start at big odds here. |
Style Presa |
Yet to finish out of the first three in six starts, and winning twice. A fast finish nearly gained her a Listed event over 1600m here at Longchamp last summer and she made an encouraging 2019 return when third at Chantilly last month. |
Comedia Eria |
Finishes second or third much more often than she wins but she did manage to have her head in front right on the wire when winning an 1100m Maisons-Laffitte handicap last month – just 1/2L separating the first five home. Has something to prove on ratings. |
Qualisaga |
Supplemented, she has failed to win since a 1600m handicap success at Saint-Cloud over a year ago. However plenty of good efforts including at this level, having finished second in a 1600m Listed event at Saint-Cloud in March. |
Silvery Mist |
Some good Longchamp form includes a handicap defeat of a big field over 1600m here last October. Effective also on an all-weather surface running a good third in a valuable event over this distance at Lingfield last month – not helped by a wide trip. |
